PRE PROCEDURE ADVICE

Please read the following advice and carefully sign at the end.

**Microblading procedure ALWAYS requires two treatment sessions. For best results, clients will be required to return for at least one touch up appointment. This will take place 5 weeks after the initial procedure. You may require an additional touch up. Please be aware that color intensity will be significantly darker and bolder for a few days after the procedure. My needles that are used are “nano” microblading needles which are thinner than regular microblading needles. It creates a more natural appearing look but does require more frequent touch ups due to less pigment being implemented. There are pros and cons to either needles used. I prefer these because they have a more natural look when healed.

**You will see your pre draw shape in the beginning of the session.

**Medical grade numbing is applied after the shape is mapped out and a second numbing is applied after the first pass of strokes are complete.

**Sensitivity and/or discomfort may still be felt. Skin may be red and/or swollen after the procedure.

**Please DO NOT drink alcohol 24 hours prior to the treatment.

**No coffee/tea the morning of your appointment.

**Unless medically necessary, please avoid intaking any blood thinners like fish oils, caffeine, Vit E, aspirins, etc as soon as possible.

**Please do not shape or wax your brows before the procedure.

**No electrolysis for at least 5 days before the procedure.

**Botox, AHA products, and retinoids should be avoided for 2 weeks prior to treatment. Botox can be performed immediately after. (I do not want to correct something that shouldn’t be corrected because the muscles haven’t settled yet).

**Exfoliation treatments (ex: regular or microdermabrasion) should not be done within 1 week prior.

**Chemical & laser peels should be avoided no less than 6 weeks prior.

**Patients prone to cold sores/fever blisters are recommended to take an anti-viral prior to treatment.

**Hormone therapies can affect pigmentation and/or cause sensitivity

**Discontinue use of brow-growth serums. It can effect the pigment due to the oils.

Topical Anesthetic Advice

**Allergic reaction can occur from any anesthetics used during the procedure. If you do suffer from an allergic reaction, its recommended to contact your doctor immediately. Allergic reaction response may show through redness, swelling, rash, blistering, dryness, and any other symptoms associated with an allergic reaction.

**Numbness- We cannot accept responsibility if the area does not respond to the numbing cream. Most clients report the area to be completely numb and experience mostly pressure, while others may experience some discomfort.

**Procedure- The numbing anesthetic is placed over the treatment area for 20 minutes then removed prior to treatment.

Contraindications for Microblading

**Liver disease- high risk of infection

**Compromised skin near/or on the brow area (for example – active acne)

**Skin conditions like psoriasis, dermatitis, etc near/or on the brow area

**Pregnancy/nursing

**Chemo/Radiation

**Keloids

The following medical conditions require a note from your doctor giving consent:

Diabetes Type 1 and 2, high blood pressure, auto-immune disease, thyroid/Graves disease, and other medical conditions that cause slow healing or a high risk of infection.

I have ready and fully understood the above information provided and any risks involved with the use of topical anesthetic and I therefore consent to the use of the anesthetic for the microblading procedure.

I agree to follow pre and post procedure advice to the best of my ability.
